The world mourns the loss of Abou Yousef - VE3MYN (SK)

Just after midnight today, our dearest friend Munir (Abou Youssef) – VE3MYN passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 71.
In the last few months Munir’s fought relentlessly his illness but gave up in the end leaving us and his loved ones shocked with a great vacuum he is leaving behind. Imagining Amateur Radio and the Sunday Radio Amateurs of Lebanon (RAL) weekly net without Munir is so painful and hard to believe.
Amateur Radio operator for over 25 years and a RAL member, Munir despite his vision impairment impressed the world with his capability to operate Amateur Radio and live a normal life. A generous, loving and caring man who made RAL and the Hams in Lebanon feel as extended family members of his. He was recognized in 2009 by RAL for his dedication and contribution to the Amateur Radio community.
Munir is survived by his wife Tereze (celebrated 51 years of marriage on Monday), his daughter Norah, sons Joe, John, Chad and grandchildren James (Munir Jr.), Justin, Andrew, Alexander, Sofia, Marcus, Mathew, Michelle and Michael.
May your Soul rest in Peace my dear friend. You will always be in
remembered.

لله ما اخذ ولله ما اعطى, نسأل الله له الرحمة انه سميع مجيب.

لقد كان صوتا مدويا في سماء الهواية من كنداء وله تاريخ حافل في حب الهواية والهواة ومساعدتهم في حل الكثير من المشاكل الفنية, علما بانه كفيف ولكن الموهبة التي لديه جعلت منه انسان يهب ما عنده للاخرين وهو لن يختلف عن غيره بحيث يؤمن بانه عليه واجب بشر علمه وانه لن يفقد شي مما لديه من العلم ولا يبخل على احد بعلمه.

لقد تعلمت منه كيف اعمل على كثير من البرامج الكمبيوترية وتعريفي بكثير من الهواة العرب في الغرب.
رحم الله ابا يوسف والهم الله اهله الصبر والسلوان.
